Driving Forward Together: Our Continued Partnership with Standard Fleet

Since 2022, EV Access has partnered with Standard Fleet to build the technology behind our Tesla rental and leasing operation in Arizona. Today we're proud to share how that partnership keeps growing, and what it means for our renters, investors, and the future of EV Access.

Payments that just work

In our early days, every rental extension or charging payment needed someone on our team to step in. As our fleet grew, handling hundreds of daily, weekly, and monthly payments by hand became too much to keep up with.

With Charge Key, Standard Fleet's Bluetooth digital key app, renters can unlock their car, pay for charging, and extend their rental in seconds. Access is tied to payment, so the moment you pay, you're ready to drive.

The result: EV Access now processes over $100,000 every week through automated rental extensions, and our payment collection rate has gone from about 70% to over 100% (including charging revenue).

Faster recovery, better relationships

Getting a vehicle back used to take 5–7 days. Now digital key access ends automatically when a rental period ends, so the car stays secure until a new reservation is made. Renters just book again to keep driving.

The result: Average vehicle recovery time dropped from 7 days to 48 hours, a 71% reduction. Even better, renters now reach out to us to extend, which makes every conversation a service conversation.

Catching problems before you do

Low tire pressure, battery drain, and service alerts used to show up only after a driver reported a problem. Standard Fleet now sends our team real-time alerts for collisions, tire pressure, and service needs, along with daily reports on charge levels and maintenance across the whole fleet. Digital key sharing also makes it easy to hand vehicles off to repair shops and vendors.

The result: We fix most issues before our renters notice them, which means less downtime and more cars ready to drive.

Built to run on our own terms

We used to depend on third-party rental platforms, which limited our control over pricing, customer relationships, and data. With Standard Fleet's payments, digital keys, dashboards, reporting, and automated daily payouts, EV Access now runs its own complete rental operation from start to finish.

That independence lets us offer programs like our Rent-to-Own Tesla program and Investor Program, and gives us a solid foundation to grow across Arizona.

Staying on top of inspections

Our partnership with a major tire provider requires inspections twice a month, with tread measurements and photos. Standard Fleet's activity logs track odometer readings, charge levels, and driving data, so we always know which vehicles are due for inspection and which ones are showing unusual wear.

By the numbers

  • $100k+ processed weekly through Standard Fleet
  • 71% faster average vehicle recovery
  • 100%+ payment collection rate

What's next

Our partnership with Standard Fleet has turned EV Access into a faster, more reliable, and more independent operation. As we add more Teslas and new programs, Standard Fleet will keep powering the experience behind the wheel.

Thank you to the Standard Fleet team for being a true partner. Here's to the road ahead.
